Covenant United Methodist Church

This instrument was built by Casavant Freres of Quebec, Canada in 1926 as their Opus 1164.  It consisted of  Three Manuals and Pedal with five divisions.  The organ was releathered by Columbia Organ Works in 1989.

By 2002, the organ's console had begun to fail and the Church wished to expand its tonal resources.  A contract was signed with Columbia Organ Works that year which provided for a complete renovation of the console and the addition of 10 new ranks to the organ.

The console was removed from its original location in a pit on the left side of the chancel and placed on a moveable platform so that it could be positioned anywhere in the chancel.  It was rebuilt using draw knobs and tilting tablets provided by Harris Precision Products and a new combination action and switching system by Classic Organ Works of Markham, Ontario, Canada.

The pipes of the facade were stripped, dents removed and a coating of bronze power lacquer applied to return them to there original splendor.

The console renovations and additions were completed in 2003 and the instrument now boasts 48 ranks along with full MIDI capability and 99 levels of memory.
