Puerto Rico Specifications

Following a visit to our installation in Spring Gardens Moravian Church in St. John's, Antigua, West Indies, Fr Yañez of Sacred Heart Church and School  in Rio Piedres, Puerto Rico decided that his church must have a real pipe organ.  The new organ replaced an electronic substitute.

A visit was made during one of our tuning and maintenance trips to our organs in the Caribbean and before long, a contract had been signed for a new pipe organ for "Colegio Sagrado Corazon".  The instrument was to be generously scaled to fill the large space and designed to compliment the modern architecture of the church.

The organ was consecrated on September 26, 2001, by the Bishop of San Juan.

The console is on a moveable platform which was built  of  mahogany by members of the parish.   The console can be    plugged-in at various locations in the church.
